It's the best... AROOOOUUUUND!!!
Daniel-san has come to DVD.
The Karate Kid Collection is in stores now, and, if I may say so, never has 27 bucks bought a person so much joy.
As you can see, all bases are covered in this set. All three epic adventures are there, along with commentary from Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita. Can you think of ANYTHING better than listening to Ralph Macchio describe the behind the scenes aspects of these films...
"Actually, the reason this fight scene looks so real is that Billy Zabka was really punching me. He and the other guys beat me up on a pretty regular basis on set."
"That's not actually me kissing Elizabeth Shue, but the kid of one of the crewmembers. Since she was only 16 at the time, and I was 38, Jerry didn't feel it appropriate for me to be to be waxing off her tongue."
There is also apparently a featurette on not knowing when to quit entitled "The Next Karate Kid". I am pretty happy it didn't get its own disc, but I feel bad for Karate Kid III, having to share its space with it.
Reminds me of grade school when you were going on a field trip. Everyone gets on the bus, you work it so you have your own seat, then at the last minute here comes Tammy "Tammy Tard" Sermak, and guess where Mrs. Sime is going to place her. Damn its a long ride to Fort Snelling when you got the window seat with a smelly quasi-tard boxing you in.
Anyway, I'll be reviewing the entire set, disc by disc, in the near future.
